How is your Economy Doing

How is your Economy Doing

“Life is not the way it is supposed to be, it is the way it is. The way you cope is what makes the difference.” – Virginia Satir

How do you define the Nigerian Economy?

It is no longer news that the Nigerian economy is going from bad to worse. However in the midst of all this and more, great opportunities still abound somewhere, the question is where?

So let’s leave the Nigerian Economy alone for a moment and let’s focus on your own economy.

How is your Economy Doing?

Life can be a series of peaks and valleys. We work hard, earn less, get older and go into more debt. It becomes nearly impossible sometimes to stay positive. However your response in your moments of difficulty is what really defines who you are. Bad things happen to all of us, everyday but we can improve our ability to navigate through the difficult times and live a happier life.

What can we do in difficult times?

Get Creative

There are times when we cannot do much to change our situation. But there are other times when we can actively work to make the situation better. The solution to our challenges would not be in plain sight, but if we can take a step at a time towards progress we will soon discover something that will change the game

Stay Positive

We can do one of two things when life takes a turn for the worst. We can remain positive and remind ourselves that there really is a light at the end of the tunnel, or we can relegate ourselves to being nothing more than a victim of circumstance.

When we stay positive, we are putting ourselves in the best position possible to not only make it through those bad times, but become a better person in the process.

Learn From the Difficult Times

“Facing difficulties is inevitable, learning from them is optional” – John Maxwell

When I find myself in the middle of an ugly situation, I like to pick everything apart and see what went wrong and what I could have done differently. I always end up learning something that helps me and I eventually get a clear picture of what needs to be done to make ensure that the situation does not repeat itself. In case it does, I know what to do to minimize the difficulty of the situation.

Know What You’re Grateful For

Gratitude means showing appreciation for all the good in your life, instead of focusing on the negative. Get clear about what it is that you are grateful for.

Lastly, go to work. Take that step, make that sacrifice, have your own economy statement, make that investment, pray and work.

Do you really believe that you can have a rich and prosperous economy in the midst of this difficult time?
